Ed Sheeran Sued for $100 Million

Ed Sheeran, singer/songwriter, is being sued by Structured Asset Sales, a company that owns 1/3 of the copyright to "Lets Get It On' by Marvin Gaye. The company claims that Sheeran's song "thinking out loud" ripped off  Gayes track by mimicking the bassline, melody, and harmony.

Sheeran denies the claims and says that the rhythmic components of his song are commonplace and unprotectable.

"Thinking Out Loud" sold over 10 million copies and is certified diamond while "Lets Get It On" is platinum. What do you think?
